Anglerfish Journey

Help a magical anglerfish defeat undead evil fish in this pixel art action shooter game.

Progress through 5 different areas, level up, and defeat the final boss.

This game was created as an entry for the Fishfest game jam.

CONTROLS

• Movement: WASD or arrow keys
• Mouse to aim
• Left mouse button: shoot
• Right mouse button: use fish powers
• ESC: in-game menu

HOW TO PLAY

• Defeat all the waves of enemies in each area to progress
• Gain xp by killing enemies and by collecting xp pickups
• Every time you level up you'll be able to pick an upgrade among 3 random options
• Charged fish powers are shown as little fish rotating around the main character. The glowing indicates which one is going to be used next. There are 3 types of fish powers: healing (red fish), fish rocket (orange fish) and an area damage bubble that lasts for a few seconds (green fish). 
• You start with 1 fish power slot, which means you'll only be able to charge 1 fish power at a time. By leveling up, sometimes you'll get the option to increase the available fish power slots, up to a maximum of 8.
• Fish powers gets charged when the mana bar is full or by collecting fish power bubbles. The mana bar recharges over time.
